Most people who’s teeth have become stained or yellowed are suitable for our whitening treatments. Your teeth will need to be generally in good condition though and your dentist will first assess your oral health before proceeding. It is important to note that whitening products do not work well on porcelain or most bonding materials. This will need to be taken into consideration if you already have existing crowns, veneers, dentures, bonded repairs or white fillings in place.

Once you have decided to go ahead with teeth whitening an appointment is made for impressions to be taken of your teeth. This allows for your bespoke trays to be created so that they will sit accurately and comfortably on your teeth. A return appointment is then made to collect your trays and the whitening gel. Your dentist will show you how to use them and instruct you on when to wear them and for how long. With our premium whitening option, the trays and gel are then worn overnight for two weeks before you return to the practice for a final 40 minute treatment. With our basic option, the trays and gel are worn for three to four weeks before returning to the practice for the results to be assessed.
