At Design Dental we provide two excellent treatments that can, under the guidance of your dentist, significantly whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home.
Premium whitening treatment offers a guaranteed level of improvement in the colour shade of your teeth (B1 or lighter) and the results are relatively long-lasting at 3 years. It is particularly recommended for those with heavily stained or discoloured teeth.
Standard whitening treatment doesn’t come with the same guaranteed level of improvement but can still deliver highly impressive results at a much lower price.

Most people who’s teeth have become stained or yellowed are suitable for our whitening treatments.
Your teeth will need to be generally in good condition though and your dentist will first assess your oral health before proceeding.
It is important to note that whitening products do not work well on porcelain or most bonding materials.
This will need to be taken into consideration if you already have existing crowns, veneers, dentures, bonded repairs or white fillings in place.
Once you have decided to go ahead with teeth whitening an appointment is made for impressions to be taken of your teeth.
This allows for your bespoke trays to be created so that they will sit accurately and comfortably on your teeth.
A return appointment is then made to collect your trays and the whitening gel. Your dentist will show you how to use them and instruct you on when to wear them and for how long.
With our premium whitening option, the trays and gel are then worn overnight for two weeks before you return to the practice for a final 40 minute treatment.
With our basic option, the trays and gel are worn for three to four weeks before returning to the practice for the results to be assessed.
Yes! Both of our whitening treatments are very safe if used as advised by your dentist.
Premium: The results of our premium whitening treatment will typically last around three years.
This can be extended indefinitely by keeping up a top up regime, where the trays and gel are used for a single night every few months.
Your dentist will be happy to explain this process to you.
Standard: The results of our standard whitening treatment generally last between six and twelve months.
When the effect starts to the fade then you can of course book in for a top-up.
